How the Invisible Woman Learned to Fly is my debut novel and is the first in a trilogy.

Marcie Blanchard hated being invisible, until she wasn’t. Sometimes it’s better when no one notices you.

Marcie Blanchard is a woman in her forties and therefore invisible to most people. It’s not easy - a real killer on her self-confidence – but she tries to keep busy raising a teenage son she doesn’t really understand, drinking too much, and hating her job. She barely has time left over to ponder what she’s going to do with the talking, flying carpet she’s just found hiding out under her garden shed. And, how to avoid the gruesome death that will befall her and everyone she loves if Marcie reveals the magic carpet’s presence. Can she keep the secret? The answer depends on whether or not Marcie can learn to live with being invisible.
